Milwaukee's highways are horrible for construction! Every year!!!! God, I remember when they were working on the Marquette interchange. Ick. Downtown constructions the worse!

At another stage of my life, I might have just come to check that house out! My mom lives on the north side of Milwaukee in a high crime neighborhood. Last time I visited her, I heard gun shots. This is not a freak event, I've heard it more times than I actively remember. I like her house/ comfy & we get along great, but after living in quiet ND for 5 years, I'm SO not looking forward to living in the ghetto again. But, I guess I'll have to put my Big Girl Panties on & suck it up :}

I'm back here now only two years as I moved away after high school and lived in Vancouver, Washington. I'm enjoying my time back here near my family. I'm in Waukesha, just 20 miles west of Milwaukee. Gosh, I'm sorry you are going to the north side where there are shoot outs regularly. I remember living on the south side in the mid 70's and we had that a lot too. It's very scary, especially at night. Here's hoping for a smooth move back and a quick transition into your own space out of the north side. :)

Let's all meet up for coffee when you get back. Our support group is at Elmbrook Memorial on the second Wednesday of the month. That is in Brookfield so not that far for you to travel.
