I am from Racine, WI and I am currently still in the process of submitting for approval. I am a patient of Dr. Wallace at Froedert Hospital. I have to get this 15 lbs gone that they want me to lose so that I can get the ball rolling. I am looking for penpals and such for support and to share thoughts and feeling with. I have a friend who had her surgery in November with Dr. Wallace and I thank God for her everyday she is a super friend to have and she is actually the one that inspired me to go along and find out more about this surgery.

Hi - I am from the Madison area and JUST GOT BACK from Monterrey, Mexico having revision surgery from lap-band to lap RNY!! Dr. Roberto Rumbaut is my surgeon for both surgeries. If you are self-pay he is the best of the best. State of the art large city hospital, complete personal care and followup, great accomodations at the Hampton Inn. I saw Dr. Garren just to confirm that my band had erroded and what I needed to do. He is a wonderful doctor as well and if my insurance would have paid I definitely would have seen him. If anyone is from the Madison area and would like to get a group going please email me. This board is often quiet and I tend to visit the revision and South of the Border sites more often. I'm signing in from Sheboygan. I am still pre-op but getting closer. Psych eval done. Upper GI test scheduled for July and Sleep Study in August. I will finish the 6 months of supervised dieting in November. I hope to have a date by December. My doctor is Siverhus and he is awesome! I wonder why there is very little traffic in the Wisconsin site? I'd like to find an angel close to home but that does not look like a possiblity. Much success to you all.

Hey there im a newbee to this site but I am having my surgery on the 5th of july in Milwaukee the Dr that is doing my surgery is dr chua he did a close friendof mine surgery and she has had lots of success.. it took me 8 months from the firs date till en to get mine approved.. started in Oct 04 was apporved in june 05. I am having gastro bypass.

I wish the WI board was more active, I agree, I get here every few days. I am from Mineral Point, started at 310 #'s, down to about 188-190 depending on the day. Looking forward to meeting my goal of 175 but very happy where I am at as well. Surgery was almost 2 years ago.

Tomah WI here. Surgery was on 5-5-05 at Gunderson Lutheran in Lacrosse WI. Down just over 55lbs. Kurt
