Poll: What do you condiser a plataue?
Hi Everyone!
I have read numerous posts where everyone is upset about lack of weight loss, the so called dreaded plataue. I think everyone has a different idea about what they are and how long they last. So, who has had one and how long did it last. I ask because I am 7-1/2 months post op and have not had one yet. I did a chart today to track my weight loss and I have had a loss every week since my surgery date. I think maybe 7 days is the longest I went without the scales moving. I am not saying I am immune, I just want to know everyones experiences. Please share.

HI GAIL!!!
My plataues have been at least 2 weeks to the most of 4 weeks without a pound off!! It was very discouraging to me but...it is my own fault as I do not excersise as I should and have been known to eat some
foods!! I am 'holding' at 159-163 depending on the time of the month. I don't think thats to bad since starting at 259 the morning off surgery 10 months ago.
Reguardless of plataues...I am happy with me now and I could never say that before WLS!!
That's my 2 cents!!

Hi Vicky!
Thanks for your 2 cents! Ugh! I don't think I would survive a 4 week plataue! I guess God is looking after me in that respect. Being that I weigh everyday I would probably have a stroke!
I am proud for you and your wonderful weight loss! What is great is how much better we feel about ourselves! It is definately an emotional journey!
Gail
P.S. I haven't worked out since Christmas! UUGGHH!!!! Somebody kick me! I just can't get back into it!
first let me say hey
then i will say i try and weigh at least once a month and since i am really not trying to lose anymore weight i mainly do it to keep myself on track and make sure i don't gain. But i don't know if i ever had one either i know my normal routine was hold steady for two weeks then drop a couple of pounds then hold steady again. so i dunno either just mainly wanted to say hi to everyone
