help freaking out!! need support
Okay.. so yesterday went to my sis-in-laws...
. Ummm.. not the one that is supportive towards me...
thats ok.
. except she is also the one that thinks weight loss is a competition...
ha..
Well turns out she has hep C and her liver is drastically declining...
So... We went over last night.. and as she put food infront of us.. her daughter came in the kitchen and says.. mom isnt eating.. shes on a DIET...
I dont believe she should be on a diet.. since her liver is almost shot besides taking in the right foods.. she needs nourishment..
Well as we sat there for 2 hours or so...
i felt myself get feverish..
I was mighty quiet..
she then said how i was losing.. which happens to be the first time she mentions it EVER...
and how it is showing.. ummm.. duh.. i was FAT
no i am partially fluffy!!!!
Oh well.. we ended up leaving soon after her NICE comments.. well i felt kinda warm on the ride home.. 45 minute ride...
When i got home I got nekked in front of the mirror to put on my night gown.. it was really late.. and I was covered with .... HIVES!!!!
What tha????? I have never broken out like this... I am already on Zoloft
.... for stress... then added xanax for occasional panic attacks...
geeez... Now.. I get hives..
Am i going nuts???? can anyone tell me or guide me in the right direction???? freaking out here!!!!

You may be having an allergic reaction to something... you may need to go to the ER, watch your fever..... hope you feel better soon...
(((hugs))))
Definitely sounds like a allergic reaction. Could be from dealing with her also that is intensifying your reaction. As long as your fever is mild you can try maybe soaking in an aveeno bath if your really itchy. Stuff is great. Try calling your doc's--reg not surgeon--and ask to talk to someone on call for advice on what you should do. Good luck and hope you feel better.

they have simmered since last night but i still have them.. and i am itchy... it just was horrible i have never had this stuff and when i called the er they said they thought it was hives.. when i looked up pics.. YUP sure enough.. HIVEs... !!!!!
I was so not looking forward to going to see her i really think stress triggered it...
Thinking about it now is making me warm!!!!
Thanks for the well wishes!!!
Hmmm. Well, it doesn't ALWAYS have to be psychological, ya know. You CAN have a real allergic reaction to something!
When we get into trying to figure out our psyches and manage emotions and stuff, sometimes it's tempting to psychologize everything. Please don't let that cloud your good judgment about these symptoms, k?
If I were in your shoes, I'd call my family doc right now and get advice about what to do and whether to wait till morning to be seen.
:hugs: I hope it passes simply and quickly hon.

I am itchy... I cant see food doing anything to me.. but you never know.. and i was dreading going to her house and I really think it is stress.. but then again... i could be wrong...
I am warm but not fever high... to go in to the doc..
My doc is closed after 8pm on fridays..
It's either ER or wait till 2morrow..
perhaps sleep!!!!
Romy,
You said that your sis in law didn't eat the food? Did anyone else who DID eat the food get a reaction to it as well? Could it be food poisening? I have never had allergic reactions and then got a bad case of hives after eating bbq weenies and then anything with sodium after that. I had to put on cream and take Benedry to get rid of the hives. But they continued for about 3 weeks and then went away. Benedryl will help ****ep remembering Will from Hitch that had the food alergic reaction and was drinking the Benedryl bottle and getting drunk off of it).
Hope things go better for you. Keep us posted on what is going on!
