Tricare will pay for your breast lift. You need to ask for a consult for a reduction, all reductions get a lift. I recently had mine done, and they look fabulous, and Tricare covered 100%, and I was referred out to a specialists.

I'm working on my 3rd referral to get coverage.  Tricare is really hit or miss on this.  I was denied through a tricare approved civilian surgeon, then denied by The naval hospital in San Diego due to previous tobacco use (3 YEARS ago), appealed with a negative nicotine test and they never responded, now waiting on another referral to a new surgeon at the MTF in Anchorage, Alaska, where they are far less busy with soldiers and more available for cosmetic surgeries.  My PCM is amazing though and she is determined to get both my tummy tuck and breat lift/enhancement covered.  She feels that if we uphold our end of the bargain to get to a healthy/ normal BMI then they should provide the corrective surgery for the saggy skin.

Hi Kari,
I am also in AK up in Wasilla. We are on Tricare Remote. I was wondering how your appeals were going and if you had any POC for starting the process for me. I have had 3 largger 9 lb babies, and never got rid of the loose sagging skin. I have never been one to complain to the Dr but am seeing benefit from it. Of course I broke down in hysterical tears embarrased by the overwhelming desire to have Abdominoplasty. So emotionally I am drained before I even begin. My Doctor acts as thought it is hopeless to ever get anything cover cosmetically. She did give me the anti-biotic nasal spray and cream to help with "rash" bacteria, etc. So I guess it is documented. I have a long history of back pain and degeneraive athritis in my lower back and I have larger breast. However don't really want them cut up if not necessary. They look thick and firm, so Just the tummy. ANy ideas???

Send me a PM.

Hope to hear from you soon Kari.
Thanks Monica
