I just ordered a sample pack of various protein products. I understand everyone's saying that tastes change, so I'm not even going to drink them until after surgery (hopefully end of July) and then when I find what I like, I'll order a quick supply. It seems like a lot of website offer the sample packs. Sure beats spending a fortune on a big container of something you don't like.

Hi~ There are many-- Honestly, Carnation Instant Breakfast is a gigantic bummer to me---only 12 grams of protein and too many calories if I remember correctly--- I really don't care for protein drinks so I set out to find the "biggest bang for my caloric buck" Although I do not advocate eating unhealthy---nor artificially---(even though I do it)--- I found that Nectar and those bullets offered the most. i use the Nectar every morning--it's about 23 grams of protein for 80-90 calories---It's not delicious but some of the flavors are tolerable---I mix it with VERY COLD water and drink it through a straw.  I notice a HUGE advantage in my progress when this is the first thing I consume---with a water chaser. Interestingly, everyone I know who used CIB as a protein source has not really had impressive weight loss results---don't know if it's just a fluke or if there is something to being sensitive about getting high protein content in the least amount of calories?? Thoughts?? Good luck to you---I so hope that you find something you like--I know it's tough--and expensive!! Blessings~ Katrina

When you drink the carnation instant breakfast do you use the powder or the ready to drink kind? I use the powder and add 14-16 oz of milk instead of 8 oz that it says on the package. I like mine more like choc milk then as a shake. I also add a scoop of "Any Whey" flavorless protein to it.  ~dori~

The Isopure drinks are VERY strong.  I can stomach the Alpine Punch one, but only if I don't smell it.  It smells like heavy cherry cough syrup.  The Apple Melon is indescribably awful.   I've been able to tolerate the Muscle Milk drink and I have a couple of the Worldwide's in my refrigerator waiting to try.

After reading this post earlier today...I ran out to GNC and bought the isopure fruity drinks..I bought the grape frost and the alpine punch.  Very expensive $4.00 a bottle.  Anyway, it tasted very good...but it made me dump.  Sorry!!  So please buy a few before you buy a case.
