Since the B-12 has to go into the intermuscular I give my in my leg twice a month, and I feel great. One vile should last you for about a year. Hug's

You will needa script from your doc for the needles and the B12. I do mine every three weeks. They do not have to be done intramuscular. I do mine in my tummy, with a very little needle. No biggie.

Morning... I am doing one shot a month, and it definetly seems to have given me a engery boost  On the last post, I seen where it said you  didnt have to give it in your leg ? I didnt know this, I would rather do mine in my belly...former diabetic, thats where i did my shots...Think you will see a big difference once you start your b-12 Have a great weekend all !!! Yikes, I guess you should ask your Doc because the nurse walked me through my first injection and said it should be intermuscular (sp?). My mom also had the surgery 16 years ago and gets hers done at work by a nurse also intermuscular...Hope this helps give you a starting point for questions. FYI you will need a perscription for it.

cant you take the sublingual ones i get them at wall mart and take them daily they have helped me alot there also is a nasel spray taht you can use but you need to talk with your doc to find out whats best for you ... the sublingual ones taste like grape and you put them under the tounge and let them disolve no biggie i take them with my vits  so its not really a hassle hope this helps   congrats on teh 50 pounds it feels great dont it

Of course a nurse can give it to you, if just costs more; however, for infantrywife, that is not probably an issue.  It is IM if given by someone else or sub cu if by yourself.  It matters not as the body absorbs it either way.  Good luck and use an insulin needle if doing it yourself, it is a snap.  Kat

Hi I get a b12 shot every month at my doc office and I was told too that it has to be intra muscular to be the most effective.  I'm going to go  back to the sublingual form of b12  though because  since I've been getting the monthly shot my b12 has actually been way too high . Like 3 times the normal limit. and I really don't get an energy boost from the shots.
