Nausea from coffee drinks? Why?

At home here I drink 1% milk.  The non fat taste like water and the 2% is to rich for me.  Would 1% work in your coffee?  I am 9 months out and coffee is the only think I have not tried.  It really scares me.  It is strong stuff and I'm afraid of it!  Just me.  Brian

Most coffee places don't offer 1% milk as an option.  You wouldn't want me to make my OWN coffee at HOME would you? :) heheh  that's no fun!! :) BTW, I drink decaf only.  My surgeon said decaf coffee is ok to have.

It might be the fat in the milk - personally any milk with more fat than skim makes me really uncomfortable.  It also could be some kind of ulcer - coffee is acidic and one of the reasons some surgeons don't want their patients drinking coffee post-op is the heightened risk for ulcers we are already at with coffee added regulary can cause problems.  You might want to lay off the coffee for a while (I know that is so much easier said than done - I LOVE coffee but I have been instructed over and over to give it up so I know how hard it is).  I hope you get to the bottom of this soon!

Hmm, even decaf is too acidic?  I guess I never thought of acidity... whether decaf or not...
