Plastic surgery in Mexico? Would you do it?

I absolutely would!  I think medical costs are a rip-off in the USA.  Thank GOD for medical insurance, but you still have to pay a portion of that.  So if I can get a procedure done for 1/4 of the cost here, and still come out ahead after air-fare and accomodations for a week of recovery before heading home, why wouldn't I???

PROCRASTINATION... is like masturbation... It seems like a good idea at the time, but in the end you're really only fu#!ing yourself.

It depends on WHERE and WITH WHO... the other day I read in the newspaper that a fake plastic surgeon on Guadalajara left more than 42 patients with infections, scars and other things... First thing about this is experience and references!!!!! Dont go there if you dont do the assignment... !!! Good Luck and best wishes!!

I think if I didn't need such extensive work, I would.  However, I am hoping for a full body lift with breast augmentation!  That's A LOT of surgery to have out of the country.  I did see a 20/20 special about a year ago on plastics in Mexico, though, and the women who went seemed really happy with their results (although I think one had a face-lift and the other only had a tummy tuck). Regardless, things can go wrong with ANY major surgery.  Olivia Goldsmith (author of "The First Wives Club") died during a facelift, and of course most everyone has heard about Kanye West's mom.  It does happen, even in the best of hospitals with the best of surgeons. I'll be anxious to hear what you find out!!!

YES YES YES......I have had 2 rounds of plastic surgery in Monterrey, Mexico and will return in Feb. for my next!!  They are wonderful and I have not complaints.  I have a wonderful family doc who has looked over my incisons and watched them heal.....also if I have any questions all I have to do is send the doc a photo via email and he gets right back to me....

I do all my follow ups with pics....and things are great...I love my new tummy, breasts, arms and butt......just going to get rid of my side boobs....lol

take care good luck

I know.. sounds scary.  My co worker knows three people that went there for Lap Band Surgery and continue to go back for fills.  They love it there better than in the states.

I had a Lower Body Lift, BL/BA, and Arm lift in Mexico in October 2007. I also had RNY in Mexico in June 2006. I would do both again. ~Michelle
