Has anyone scrapbooked their weight loss journey?
Someone from your friends list messaged me already and told me to check out your pages. I am stlll checking them out now in another window. They are very nice and a great inspiration! i gasped at the ones showing your poor tummy with all the bruising! I haven't had surgery yet. Did you feel like it looked? I hope not!
The worst was the itching which lasted about a week; then it felt like a bad sunburn for about 3 days. It was some sort of nerve pain but it probably looks worse than it really was. I just thought it was cool the way the colors kept changing so I had my daughter take pictures for the scrapbook.
What happened to my tummy is not very common evidently. I'm almost 4 months out and believe me, that was the only complaint I have. This surgery has been the best decision I've ever made for my health.
Good luck! Alice

I have scrapbooked my journey so far. I found it hard to find paper and stickers for the scrapbook. I chose alot of flower colored paper and stickers.

Yup, I'm just about caught up on a scrapbook that goes back to a couple years pre-op and is currently at one year post-op. I didn't worry about special papers or embellishments specific to the weight loss theme. I just did whatever I thought looked good with the photos and embellished the same way. I used a lot of rubber stamped images and journal pages (either printed from my blog or copied from my handwritten journals) along with the photos.
For being a severely addicted scrapbooker, you'd think I'd be better at this, huh? I've got some "before" pages done and have the album started, but I haven't done any pages since I actually had the surgery. Granted - that's only 3 months ago, but still.
I do keep a blog, so i'll be able to go back and remember what I was going through at certain times so they can make it to the scrapbook eventually.
I'm also taking pictures of my progress. Monthly pictures of the front, side, back like normal. Also doing a 365 picture-a-day picture project of just my face. So I've got lots of pictures to scrap, just need to do it.
I also scrapbooked my sister's and mom's WLS journeys. Sister is 6 years out, Mom is 4 years out.
There is some health, weight loss related stickers and limited embellishments out there. But I tend not to go for the overly-theme-looking papers and stuff. I just pick papers I love and let the pictures speak for themselves. In fact, I haven't even used the stickers I bought that have to do with exercise and stuff.
I should scan my pages and get them up online. I'd love to see others' scrapbooks too.

I decided to buy a pack of 8 x 8 paper oriental type paper and it's worked out great. There really aren't many weight loss papers or embellishments, but this book is mainly for ME, so as long as the things that are important to me are in there, that is all that counts.
