I'm feeling real bad
Good Morning Zip! I hope since you wrote the message you have been able
to throw up. Nothing is worse that feeling sick. Me, personally? I haven't
been able to really throw up since surgery either. Last night, I had a virus,
still feel like I have it, but I couldn't throw up what was making me sick either.
I wonder if its because our anatomy is changed if that makes a difference. The
funny thing is that I know a lot of folks with WLS that can throw up...so it is
possible. I hope you feel better. I have no advice on how to get to throw up
as I haven't been successful with that....can't say I'm sorry about it...i hate
throwing up!

My guess is that, if you can't keep water down, then you probably have a pc of the canteloupe lodged in your stoma. When food gets stuck, it's because it wasn't chewed very well and isn't small enough to pass through. You don't want to get dehydrated and add to your troubles. If your issue persists, you should call your surgeon, especially since it's Friday and your only option overthe weekend would be the emergency room (where drs tend to know squat about wls).
Not being able to throw up isn't a byproduct of wls.....many of us find it quite easy to get food to reappear when necessary!! (like when we're foaming at the mouth because we've eaten that "1 bite too many" and feel like we're about to die.
feel better!
