another thing is to measure yourself.  I found when I was not losing as quickly, inches were melting away.  I wish I kept a journal of my weight and measurements... that is something good to look back on - how much you have accomplished.    the one carb that I did eat were kashi crackers (my nut's advice) I think a serviing was like 12 or 16 crackers, I never got past 5 or 6 and would eat them with a little bit of cheese.  it helped me when I was jsut past the soft food to satisfy the crunch i was craving.  Its somehting that worked for me.. we all are different.. you are doing great...

Why hate a cyber-hug, especially coming from those that know exactly what you are experiencing?  Personally, I think many of us (certainly myself included) did without way too many hugs during our MO days.  Learning to accept care and attention is part of the healing just as much as the surgery.  You are doing great.  Believe in your surgery and believe in your body to make the changes!  I think losing like gang busters is great for those that can do it, but they seem few and far between.  Each and every pound is a special gift.

Well, it started with a couple of saltines to settle my stomach (nut's request) then I sampled a couple (5) of my son's goldfish crackers.  Then it was a all natural (trader joes) graham cracker. Those are the only carbs I've had since surgery and I am cutting them all out tomorrow.  Literally getting rid of them until I can control myself.  I don't eat many of them, but I feel guilty just having a bite of a graham cracker.  I agree with the more you eat the more you want which is why they are GONE!!  I refuse to let myself have anything with more than 5 grms of carbs other than milk and fruit and veggies.  At least for awhile.  I got into a habit of taking a nibble here and there which will stop now.  I didn't even realize I was doing it until I posted on here, so thanks!

Hey, you deserve a big hand for the HUGE amount of weight you have lost in such a short time. I'm no expert and this is only my opinion but I still think that 30 grams of protein per day is too low and considering some of the other symptoms that you've been having I really think that you're stalling because your body is starving.

I have upped my protein to about 40 grams/day but I can't figure out how to get more in without doing protein shakes, which aren't allowed by my nut or surgeon.  Any suggestions?

Have you tried Carnation Instant Breakfast Drink??   They do make a sugar-free one.  How about a protein bar??   Honestly, I have never heard of a patient being told not to use protein shakes....  So I guess I'm curious now.... Anyone else told they couldn't have protein shakes??

Theres a few people i've talked to that arent allowed them, but not many.  I dump on CIB-sf.  The protein bars have so many carbs though.  Are they ok?

My surgeon says he wants all protein to come from foods after 6 weeks - if not, then have a protein bar not a liquid which will only empty faster and leave you feeling hungry quicker. Makes sense to me -  I can't stand the liquids, I'll eat a bar anytime! I finally hit 74g protein and 1100 calories today!! AND miracle of miracles - the scale moved!! I knew I had to get more calories for me to start losing again. I just read this (suggested by a member's response) and it makes so much sense! The starvation modes and why we stall....          http://www.obesityhelp.com/member/djwood/

I'm right there with you, girl!!! My surgery was about a week before yours, and I have not lost a single pound since June 2!!! I am beyond frustrated. I am not going to weigh myself for about a week (if I can help myself... lol) and hope that I break out of this soon! I am also having negative thoughts/fears about failure. I went from dropping about a pound a day to NOTHING, and I don't like it! Not one little bit!! You are not alone!
