Do you have a Dunkin Donuts?  They have raspberry & peach tea (unsweetened) that is 15 calories for a 16oz.  I ask for 2 sweet n low and it's pretty sweet.  Or have you tried making your own?  Lipton Sun Tea bags in a pitcher set out for 2 hours then chill.

My addiction is the McDonald's Iced Coffee.  I discovered that it has 60 grams of sugar!!!! I bought Davinci's Sugar Free Syrup (Vanilla is my favorite) and order the coffee with milk, no sweeteners, and add the sugar free vanilla syrup. Funny thing is that I never liked coffee before surgery!  Now I have to have it every single day. Sandy

* Raises hand*  I LOVE McDONALD'S SWEET TEA..........   The only thing I do is ADD more water.....kind half and half... it cuts WAY down on the sugar...our sweet tea here is way too sweet..... That way I get my tea  AND cut down on  unwanted calories and sugar.  I LIKE IT. Straight Sweet Tea  makes me very hyper...........

Work like you don't need the money......

There is a guy here locally that would not give up his sweet tea - he just went for a revision because he regained every pound of weight he lost. He claims he learned his lesson, we will see. Sugar is the worst thing to consume - it will honestly make you easily regain weight - espeically since its 'empty calories'. Also, when we drink calories we tend to still eat the same amount of food putting us over the top for the day.

First visit to surgeon - 288 ~ bmi 45.1

I like their unsweetened tea with one Splenda packet and two lemon wedges squeezed. But it's not decaffinated so I've been making my own and I love it. Water is so boring to me right now (I told my DH the other day that it was like wet air). Tea though? I suck that down like nobodies business. I figure as long as it's decaf I can count it for my liquids for the day.

Where are you with your weight loss (you have no data posted)...if you have lots to loose - sweet tea is a foolish indulgence - particulalry since you can try any of the good suggestions that previous posters made - here's some biology for you - sugar - becomes glucose (as does white anything - flour, rice, potatoes) which triggers a surge in insulin - and insulin does two things - it transports glucose into your cells to support cellular function - and it takes any leftover glucose and helps store it as fat - that's insulin's job. Elevations in insulin not only make you hungry - and make you fat - they also contribute to inflammatory proteins that contribute to cardiovascular disease - and a number of other problems (arthritis - asthma - cancer). The goal should be to keep you insulin levels as low and as steady as you can. Your sweet tea doesn't do that at all.......so in my humble opinion (and since you asked) very foolish choice. Susan
