Chest Pain After Showering
Hi all,
I am 11 days out and have chest pain/discomfort after showering. Does anyone know what causes this -- over-doing it? Steam?
I was fairly active previously with cardio & weights. The chest pain, actually more like an ache, lasts from about the time I get out of the shower up to 5 min. Then it goes away. This is the only time I have discomfort so I'm guessing it's shower-related.
Has this happened to anyone else?
Thanks,
Melissa

Well, your stomach is basically in the middle of your chest--much higher than we generally think of its location. So my first thought would be that you're feeling (internal) surgery site discomfort. Does this come with any change in your heartbeat or breathing, or is it just "ouch" and then it goes away?
I had problems while / after taking my shower too... felt week and would have to hold onto the shower and take a break then hurry and finish.. my heart felt like it was going to pond out of my chest... My nurtrionist told me to eat a table spoon of peanut butter beforehand... maybe the blood sugar dropping.. but it does get better in time....
