the best granola bar ever-with protein!
I ususally do not like much made by Kashi, however I was at my future mother in laws house and I was hungry and searching through her pantry. I found a Ka****LC Cherry Dark Chocolate granola bar, I looked at the Nut facts and there are only 120 cals, 2 grams of fat, 4 grams of fiber, 8 grams of sugar and 5 grams of PROTEIN. So it looked good on the outside, then I went to eat it, and I literally went right to Walmart and bought a box. Sooo good and good for us!

I tried these once and threw them out when I realized it was only 5 grams of protein I can have a cup of milk and get more protein and vitamins.
Have you tried OH YEAH protein wafers?
210 calories for two wafers
8 carbs
4 sugar grams
12grams protein
Granted we all have our own preferences but 5 grams of protein with the Kashi wasn't worth it for me (just my personal opinion).

201 pounds lost since surgery!! And I'm 2 1/2 inches taller too!!
And YES I still eat Carbs and Fats but I know what portion control is!!

i eat protein bars too. i wasnt really promoting them as a protein bar, but a low cal snack that has a little extra protein

They're great.....I love Kashi products - and your right - sometimes a snack is fine - and if it's got fiber - all the better (low glycemic index). I try to have things where the sugars and protein at least match - so it would be better if the bar was 8 grams of protein - but for what it is - they're very good (I also love the pumpkin flax - at Thanksgiving when I was jonesing for pumpkin pie - it did the trick.....Susan
