Acute care?
You might have answered my question, Carmel! She doesn't have a DNR and wont admit that she isn't dying. I suppose that they can't really send her to hospice to die if she doesn't think she's going to die. They probably aren't equipped to handle having to bring the patient back to life. It's more of a comfort thing, which I get. She only has a month or two (supposedly) so I couldn't figure out why they wouldn't put her in hospice but what you said makes sense. Thanks.
Oh honey, I had no idea that things had gotten so bad, long time no see or talk!! I'm so sorry you are having to go through this! My prayers are with you and your family and I hope you get all of this figured out. I do NOT have any answers only bigg huggs and many prayers!!! You have my number if you need anything, sorry I haven't been in touch. A lot on my plate too, but no excuse!! my bad, miss you!!! bigg huggs, Becky

Cathie, I, too, have no answers but I think Bette has made alot of sense with her answers. It sounds like hospice is where she needs to be so she can be at home with her family in her final days. I just wanted to send you my love and if you want to talk, PM me and I'll give you my number. I continue to pray for you and your sister and the rest of your family. God Bless you, my friend. Rona
