I travel a lot and was sure I would have trouble with my passport in a post 9/11 world. The only thing that I have ever had was one immigration officer look at my passport, look back at me, back at the passport and shake his head in disbelief.
I was terrified that when I submitted a picture for a visa they would check it against my passport and deny my visa - but luckily that didn't happen either.
What did happen was being pulled over a police officer who "strongly suggested" I get new a new drivers license... I did the very next day.

I have not yet gotten a new DL, but on halloween when I was out with a friend at the bar, the girl checking ID's at the door looked at me, looked at the ID and said "OMG! WOW! You lost like a PERSON!" lol Fortunately, she was very cool. She said she had WLS, and asked me if I had too. But, typically people usually look at it, do a double take, then say "You look great!" and leave it at that. Nobody has really challenged the fact that it's me.

Yes I did. While leaving on a vacation trip to Atlanta to visit my BFF, the TSA at Manchester NH airport, did not believe that the person on the license was me...thankfully my Delta Card and my credit cards all had my name on them and my work badge was a newer picture (thankfully I had it with me) so they let me go through security...same thing happened on the flight home too. I went to change my license when I got home and the guy at the registry, was stunned at the change, he gave me my new license for free....

I think we have to change them with the loss or 30 or 50 pounds difference. I have not yet changed mine. I am down 72 and am going to pu**** to the limits. I can not see having to pay for it more then once.
In regards to them not looking alike compared to us now.
Years ago I had renewed my license and when it arrived in the mail it was not my picture. It was the same hair style as mine but that person was nice and tan! I took it into the DMV and they said there was nothing they could do about it.But, they agreed that they would not accept that as a matching ID for me. Called the high up in office and they said they would correct it... They sure did!! a couple weeks later in the mail I received yet another one of the same pictures. WTF, I gave up and prayed for not getting stopped for 4 yrs lol

Wow, I hadn't thought about that! I'll be flying in February, and, thankfully, a lot of my weight I've lost in my face, so I do look a lot different. Hmmmm, thanks for the heads-up! and congrats - what an exciting feeling!

I managed to go for nearly three and a half years without getting a new driver's license but when I went to get my finger print card to become a teacher my police officer friend "strongly suggested" that I get a new one because he said if he didn't already know me he would not have accepted it. When I went into get the new one, the lady didn't even look up, she just said "do you need a new license because you got a new address?" I said "no, because I got a new FACE!" That's when she looked at the card & then looked at me and we both had a good laugh. It's amazing what losing 180 pounds can do to the way we look, huh? It was $4 I didn't mind spending.

Funny you bring this up...............My DL expires finally this year....TX has a 7 yr license.....
I've lost about 140 lbs..............I've only had 1 lady at Walmart at the CS desk do a double take about 2-3 weeks ago and really asked me "if this was MY DL" - I said yes and then whipped out my before RNY surgery button and pics.............NEED I SAY MORE..............oh - if I get the opportunity to share my wonderful reason ............MY MOUTH JUST FLIES OPEN AND I remain very open and stress the importance that THIS WLS SURGERY IS NOT FOR EVERYONE.
BUT FOR ME IT WAS !! LOL

My hubby had to get a new license after he got stopped for speeding. He lost 240 lbs. and grew a beard so he looked NOTHING like his DL. The only thing that saved him was he was wearing his Salvation Army uniform in his DL picture and when he was stopped. So the officer told him that he needed to get a new license because it was no longer valid, due to the 200 + pound difference. In Oregon you have to get a new license when something changes that makes your license and you not 'match'
