Minute Maid Light Lemonade is it okay to drink after gastric bypass?

Hi,

I am 12 days post op and wanted to know if Minute Maid Light Lemonade with 5 calories is okay to drink. I'm new too this so thats why I am making sure. I don't know if it is carbonated and also if it is too much acid for a RNY patient. Any help would be appreciated, I am having a hard time drinking crystal light.

I drink it when I go to Costco and my husband gets lunch at their little hot dog place, they serve it in their pop machines, it's not carbonated. 

I would say yes, but I'm not your doctor or nutritionist.  I drink it all the time for a different taste than the norm.  No carbonation or caffeen in it which is good.  No sugar.

Drink all you want.  The citric acid will help to prevent kidney stones.

If you don't like the Crystal light there are other options, WalMart has there brand Great Value I drink that in Rasberry Ice and Grape and like both of them there is also SF KoolAid  (if your having trouble getting your protein you can mix them with unflavored protein)

Yes. Love the tropicana myself. Just remember to count the calories as part of your plan.

I've had it several times, but for some reason it doesn't agree with me, so I can to really water it down some and sip on it

Just about the only things I drink are (and in order):

Tropicana Light Lemonade (much better, less diet tasting than MM, in my opinion)
Water/Crystal Lite (tie)

I buy up all my grocery store has.  People must think I'm insane with 4 cases of lemonade in my cart.

i do the tropicana light lemonade and orangeade.  very nice flavor.  only the kids drink most of it.
