o.k i had tried every flavor of isopure and they are nasty ,make sure is cold and mix very well the white stuff is the protein, before surgery i used to get rid of them ,after surgery i could stand anything with milk ,now I'm o.k with worldwide pure protein but i gag to isopure

so try some of them and keep variety after surgery what works now may not work after and don't force yourself. good luck

i tried the isopure pre-made drinks and they are ok, but im already used to drinking that kinda stuff...otherwise it would truly suck.  but that is with most stuff lacking lots of sugar or sweetners.  i would suggest adding a pack or two of splenda or another sweetner if its just not tasty enough.  i use a 100% protein isolate made by muscle gauge nutrition (MGN), that i found to be pretty decent.  its a powder that you can basically mix with anything you want.  i use the wild berry flavor right now and love it.  my favorite way to have it is mixing it with crystal light (walmart brand, im frugal) rather than plain water.  this gives it a sweet and very light/refreshing texture.  it also mixes well with jello and with making smoothie shakes (skim milk & frozen fruit).  give it a shot you can buy from the muscleandstrength.com website (they need to give me some money for advertising, lol).  you can also read up on protein drinks at that website as well, lots of good info there.  the current cost on that MGN is $32 for a 5lb tub, not bad.

isopure PLUS Zero Carb Clear Whey Protein Drink

isopure PLUS.

60 calories, 15 grams of protein, and totally sugar and carb-free.  Much easier to handle than the previous big twenty ounce glass bottles, yes?  I would venture to assume this is targeted to bariatric babies, and those with compromised systems, taking in very little food.

Isopure Plus is the first clear nutrition beverage for people who need pure quality protein for specific medical and nutritional needs. Anyone suffering from cancer, HIV/AIDS, recovering from Gastric Bypass surgery or simply unable to digest protein solids needs an easily digested, stomach-friendly and lactose free alternative to Boost and Ensure.

Isopure Plus Zero Carb Protein Drink is ideal for diabetics and gastric bypass surgery patients as well as for anyone who wants to minimize their carb intake.

Isopure Plus 0 Carb features (per 8 oz. bottle):
• 15 grams of protein (100% pure whey protein isolate)
• Zero Fat
• Zero Carbs
• 60 Calories
• Lactose Free
• Gluten Free

On first glance, I am very happy to see this product as a reformulated eight ounce drink.  The original Isopure in the glass bottles was one of my saving proteins as an early post-op, but twenty ounce glass bottles.  Really.

Bottoms up.

The smell:  slightly fruit punchy.

The texture:  it's a clear liquid, not exactly h20, but more viscous, but juuuuust slightly.  It's just a step above water.  Please note this is coming from the girl who won't LOOK at Jello products without wretching.  I know texture.)  It's completely smooth of course, and entirely pleasant to my sensory integration system.

Picture 10

The taste:  muted fruit punch, like diluted LIGHT Hawaiian Punch, but with whey!  The protein is not quite evident, but you know it's there.

The aftertaste:  There's a lack of protein after-tongue-feel.  HOORAY.  I do not feel the urge to brush my tongue.

I tried some - but I'll be honest they were very "thick" for lack of another word - I put it over ice and added a little water and was able to do them that way ! Good luck !

I can drink the read to drink only if it is very very cold like a slushy. I love the vanilla powder. I buy the big bucket and add a scoop to my yogurt every morning. The make an unflavored powder also but the vanilla blends with most other flavors. I rarely drink protein. I do not like the taste but mixing the powder in food masks the taste. It was trial an error for me and isopure won. Its about all I ever buy. If I have to drink my protein I use EAS and I like the chocolate.
GNC might give you samples but if you buy a large amount and hate it I think they take it back.

I tried the Isopure fruit punch and grape and they were terrible. I love the fuzzy navel nectar, though and the lemonade isn't bad either

grape is good.  I find them at my local HEB.  It has 40 g protein.

I hate the isopure ready to drink, but my protein of choice has been Isopure powder. I have tried different ones, but the ones I tolerate best are the chocolate, banana cream and orange pineapple banana. Also when you purchase things from GNC if you don't like it you can take it back and get something else. That really helps when you are trying to find something you can tolerate. Good luck to you.
