Restruants Honoring Gastric Bypass Cards?

I've never found the use for one.  I just ask for half portions, appetizers or extra meat with hubby's meal that I can share with him.  It's amazing how accommodating some restaurants can be.  My favorite is Carrabbas.  They make me half portions of stuff that isn't even on the menu. 

Oh, I almost forgot to mention buffets!
My trick for them is to get a to-go box and pay by the pound.  I would get my lunch for right around $3 or less that way my first year or so post op.

So far I have avoided buffets because I don't want to pay to eat just a few oz's of food.  However I did get a card from my doc stating I had the surgery, but it wasn't for discounts....just to order off the kids menu. 

I haven't used it.  When we go out to eat I order a veggie side and then take some of my husband's protein.  It is working out very well so far.  A few times I have ordered a meal and share it with my 4 year old. 

I never use mine.  I find that there is nothing on the Kids menu but fried chicken tenders and mac n cheese.  Well that doesn't help at all.

I do know from a friend that Red Lobster does honor them.

We usually  just order a full or lunch healthy meal and an extra plate so we can share.  We still have stuff to take home!

I HAVE used the card for a discount at a casino buffet.  When the hostess inquired what the card meant, I leaned in close and whispered, "I had to have 85% of my stomach surgically removed and I can only eat an ounce or two of food."    No problem, paid the child's price and left a big tip!

cracker barrel lets you order off the kids menu, my meal was less than $6

I'm a little perplexed. I live in Utah and the Golden Corrals here ALWAYS let me use my card and only charge me $3.99 for my buffet meal.

Must be a store manangement decision.
