9 month update ... on me!!

Hello OH Family..

9 Months ago today I had lap- RNY in Long Island New York... Thank you Dr. Brackman
I am down 107 lbs... hehehehe..... I hope to meet my final goal of 144 lbs by my 1 year anniversay date in January..
 
I now wear a size 14 jeans,,, and mostly medium tops... I recently updated my avatar.. and I still have to look twice if I post a reply to see that it is me...
This has been an incredibly journey, I love the new me..even if I sometimes don't recognize myself..
I am going to lunch with some old highschool friends that I have not seen in about 6 months on Saturday, and I am looking forward to seeing their reactions...I grew up with these girls and they have not seen me this small since grade 9 back in 1977..

WOW! Good for you!!

You should totally play a trick on your friends, pretending to be someone else or something.
They will be so shocked when they find out that they will demand to see your driver's license as proof of you!  lol.  Good Job!

hey there january buddy, i am 9 months out too. i had surgery on Jan 9th!!!
What a change it has brought to me..
We moved to japan about a month ago, and i ran in to a patient of mine that used to go to the dentist office i worked at.. She said she had no idea it was me until she heard my Voice..
I do a double take too.. i'm like where did there person come from holy smokes.. 
i remember being a newbie fresh out of the surgery wondering if i was every gonna make to 9 months and be smaller. in my mind i never ever thought about it, or that it would come true.
I am down from a 24 to a 8 and down 127 pounds.. so its so GREAT to finally finally be able to look back and now love myself..

Congratulations on the awesome weight loss!  I have the same goal as you to reach 145 by my year anniversary which in February. 

I am sure your old friends are going to be shocked by the new you.  Even people that haven't seen me in a month are surprised by the difference, I can't imagine 6 months.  Absorb the wonderful comments from your friends, as it is a great motivation to keep you on track towards your goal.
