Is fat free milk, mixed with SF carnation Instant breakfast with a serving of cream of wheat for breakfast a good start?  I am thinking there may be too much sugar in it.  I got sick as a dog, this morning, nausea, and instant diarrhea.  The wave has passed and I feel better now.  Any Ideas?

I am only 2 weeks out but I think the SF carnation instant breakfast is too sugary for me, makes me a bit dizzy. But my friends love it. The Glucerna is better fr me but still a tad too sugary

If you're mixing it with milk and experiencing dumping, you are dumping from the milk and that happens to a lot of people. Maybe try soy milk like Light Silk Vanilla or Original Soy or try mixing it with water.

I lived on SF CIB for almost three months post-op.

ETA: Well I stand corrected. Apparently there are seven grams of sugar in Sugar Free Carnation Instant Breakfast.

Here are the nutrition facts

I will give the soy mik a shot, thanks.  That is the only time I drink milk, I tolorate yogurt, I assumed fat free milk would be okay.

Some people become lactose intolerate post-op...sometimes it's only for a few days at a time! For me, some days milk is fine, some day it's not. You'll get used to it :)

There is a Chocolate Soy milk called Soy Slender.  I use that with protein shakes that cannot be made with water (EAS, Body Fortress, etc).  It tastes exactly like Chocolate milk made with 1% milk.  The calories and carbs are quite low, much lower than milk.

It is not in the frig section of the store, it's in the soy milk section on the shelves in a carton.  It comes in Chocolate and Vanilla.  The vanilla is .. okay.  The Chocolate is nectar from the Gods. ;o)

I just wanted to say this..

Both my kids are VERY allergic to milk.. but can tolerate yogurt.

So it just depends on the way the milk is processed.

Good luck.  I HOPE it's not lactose because it's kinda a pain in the ass to find a way around lactose for EVERYTHING..
