Actually, I'm looking at labels right now, and regular Centrum looks better than Centrum Sliver for Women, to me.  The ASMBS says we need about 200% of the RDA of most vitamins and minerals, and two regular Centrum gives you 200% of most things.  It's pretty short on biotin, but other than that, I think it's close.

Centrum Silver for Women, on the other hand, if you take two a day, only gives you 140% of vitamin A, 146% of thiamin, 130% of riboflavin, 20% of biotin, and 100% of pantothenic acid.

I take plain of Centrum Silver and it works great. Check with your doctor if you aren't sure. My surgeon was fine with it and I started taking it early out because I couldn't handle the chewables. I'd say three weeks post-op I was taking the Centrum Silver along with additional supplements.

We  are allowed  centrum but not centrum silver.  They say the iron is lower in it.     But i take   chewables.    Some people take womens one a day.  with iron.   Check labels and  check with your  surgeons  group or dietician
Have a great day

My daughter accidently bought me the Chewable Centrum silver - specially formulated for adults 50+, instead of the chewable centrum.  I could not take the silver because it was missing the required 18mg of iron, and I am not over 50 anyways.  I am to take the centrum twice a day.  Does the womens version have the required iron?  Or do you take an iron supplement separately?  Check the label and make sure you have all the requirements your doctor said you need.

I don't believe the centrum silver contains iron - it's formulated for post-menopausal women.  Plus, I've been told that even non-gastric surgery folks have trouble digesting non-chewable vitamins.  Use the chewables - just take a bite of food or something to mask the taste.  Read the labels...I know, boring & tedious, but you gotta do it.

I've had great success with just Flintstone Completes and a calcium citrate supplement.  Honestly, as long as you eat healthy and aren't pregnant, it should be enough..  I had my gastric bypass 2 years ago and I haven't had any nutritional issues or problems whatsoever.  My last blood "nutrition" panel taken last year was perfect - so apparently the Flintstons are all I need.  Good luck!

I take the Centrum Silver even though I am under 50 because I don't want the iron.  I am post menopausal and have a high ferritin level.

If you need iron, don't take the silver - take the regular centrum chewables - they taste good, like a fruit tart.
