Help! Question?

For the past 3 days I've had some discomfort in my upper left abdomen area. It feels like it is just behind my left ribcage. It is not sharp pains and it is not constant but "it just doesn't feel right." I was unsure if this could be something associated with my pouch. It does not feel like gas pains. If I take a deep breath I can feel the discomfort and if I push with my hand I can almost pinpoint the location. I honestly have a hard time describing it. I wanted to check with you and see if you think it may be associated with my RNY gastric bypass.

Anytime something doesnt feel right - call your doctor and go get checked out.  Its better to be safe than sorry!

Doctor's nurse says it may be old stool in my colon. I switched to the OTC calcium about a month ago. And  was constipated for about  2 days a few weeks back. So I slacked up on the calcium and voila my BMs returned to normal. She suggested that change could have caused the old stool in my colon. Solution: Take some milk of magnesia and see if it continues.
Thanks for the advice from the posts.

I'm glad you are feeling better. I am going to use some Milk of Magnesia myself. I've become slighty constipated lately.
Curious, though your BMs returned to normal, did it take away the pain?

It's also a pretty common site for stomach related adhesions.  I've had some 'weird' sensations in that area since a few years after my original VBG.
