Accidents happen, thankfully you are both alive.  Cars can be replaced, jobs too.  People can't be, give the man a great big hug, share your love and be good to yourself.  He's right, he needs you.  You need you too.  Take some deep breaths, tell yourself that You are a good person and deserve to ge kind on yourself.  Things will look better soon.  Take care.  Hugs, Kathy

Feel guilt if you intended the accident - intended to hurt your beloved husband - were impaired because of alcohol or drugs.....but other than that.....let it go.  Not eating and crying were ok for one day......because it was a traumatic event.  Now - you simply must take care of yourself and not turn this into a long term crisis.  If you find yourself sinking into dispair and allowing this script you've written to dominate your thoughts and your ability to take care of yourself - get thee to a therapist.  Everybody else already said the right things to you...now it's time for you to breath a sigh of relief that nobody was seriously injured.....and move on.  You can choose to dwell in this dispair and guilt - but it will do no one anygood - least of all you and your husband.    Susan
