I think I made a mistake
I can now play and run with my two year old and I actually did a cartwheel with my 12 year ! I have more energy and feel like I can do anything :)
It will get better, give yourself some time to heal.

Everything you are experiencing is entirely normal, although totally not fun.
Why do you still have a G-tube? They can become displaced and hurt like the dickens. After my hysterectomy (the only time I've had one) I was ready to yank it out myself! It hurt far far worse that the hysterectomy and lymph node removal. Once it was out, I felt almost fine! Call your doc about that one.
It's not unusual to get in less fluids than you are told to, but you really can't use the word "I can't". Yes, you can. Not easy, but you can. Just sip, sip, sip. Add something to water to make it more palatable. I felt like I wouldn't have survived if I hadn't discovered Smar****er. It's expensive but I felt I was worth it because it someone just went down a lot easier. I also found I could tolerate lukewarm herbal mint tea better than plain old water. (Finding the right temperature for you can make a difference!!!) Also, because you have diarrehea, you especially MUST drink more water to avoid dehydration. Some of the crappiness you feel right now could definitely be due to dehydration and it could get worse if you don't manage it.
You are probably depressed because it's just no fun not to feel well and you are probably feeling a bit (maybe a lot) sorry for yourself. But this would not be much different for any major surgery that turned the apple cart upside down on everything. Yes, what we can tolerate for food gets boring, so you have to focus less on what it is and simply accept that it's what you need for now. It will get better and there will come a point when you can tolerate and enjoy almost any food.
Be strong and focused; it will get better and you CAN do this.

Hang in there and be strong. This too shall pass.

Just do your best to get in your fluids and protein--both will help you heal and dehydration is a mutha you should avoid. And lower your expectations a little. You had major abdominal surgery--you've been through a lot. Give yourself 2 months to get yourself back to close to normal. Just try and make progress each day, one step at a time.
It will turn around as long as you keep your body hydrated and try and get in your protein. Don;t be shy about seeing a therapist, too! It can help you out.

I had the kick-butt duodenal switch (DS)!
HW: 344 lbs CW: 150 lbs
Type 2 diabetes and sleep apnea GONE!
Ever since I've had this surgery, it's been one thing after another. Not all related to wls, but just things in general.
My last thing was Sunday when I had to go to the ER because I have been sick since Thursday.
Got dehydrated and needed antibiotics. Then the pms thing ugh what else can go wrong is all I keep thinking.
I keep crying to myself asking did I make the right decision, I had less issues before I had the surgery and I ate what I wanted.
But the days are getting better, and when I get dressed in my smaller clothes that fit and I see how good I am starting to look I know it is all worth it.
I know I am gonna live longer and have a healthier life.
It's just something we go through but it does get better. Just give it some time
