Aw, this is a hard time. Your poor body just went through so much. I can't offer much more than some compassion. It does get better and we do adjust.

I went through some tough days too. But things are so much better now.

I see our start weights  are nearly the same. Some day soon-you are going to wake up and not be able to even remember how you feel today.

Hang in there.

Peace,
Therese

You will dehydrate if you are not drinking all of your liquids..64 oz..You will starve if you don't get in your protein (90-100 per day) and your supplements.  If you are that sick..then you should call your doctor for advise.  You can not allow yourself you fall apart, you have to be strong for that baby girl and do what you are supposed to do.

You will physically deteriorate faster than you can imagine.  It is your responsibility to follow the plan.

tomorrow is a new day
wake up knowing that is your duty to get the job done!

All i can tell you right now is that it gets better. You were given a protcal to follow for protein and liquids, try to follow them. All your protein should be coming from liquids so you are killing two birds with one stone there.

Most important, SIP SIP SIP..then SIP SIP some more and i know, it sucks drinking the same **** everyday, and you get sick of sweet..you want bland so bad you can almost remember what it tastes like and one of your old freinds would hit the spot right now...so you think, fact is right now you would hurt yourself terribly trying to eat anything like you use to and weeks and months later a lot of what you use to like may very well make you sick.

You are learning how to take care of your new tummy and about nutrition remember that and all you are going through is part of that. You have made choices to regain control of your health and your body, you are in a war for your life and you are learning how to use this new powerful weapon you have. Read my blog, i talk about some of what you are going through and write about this in your own blog. There is so much we are NOT told going in that we should be and you can help others know what to expect.

The head hunger you may be experiencing gets better as you progress through the stages, if you stay on top or close to on top of your fluid/protein intake that helps too. Keep positive thoughts in your head about your choice, this is a good thing you have done for yourself. Keep busy. as busy as you can be, walk from one end of your house to the other, walk around the house, go for a walk if you can. There are always millions of reasons (excuses) not to go for a walk, come up with as many as you can TO go for a walk.

For the first few weeks tired comes with the territory, you should have been told this by your surgeon, you have just been through major surgery. Keeping up with your protein will help you feel better, so will taking your vitamins, you will notice that after the intake of protein you have more energy, that wears off after a while and returns with more protein. SIP SIP SIP

YOU CAN DO THIS

That said, i have no experience with a feeding tube and if you are having pain from it you should contact your surgeon right away, if it is a real bad pain you should go to the emergency room, preferably at the hospital you had your surgery at.

Best of luck to you, hang in there hon...Joe
