You have just made my night!

I love pizza, but can't eat it because of the dough.  Usually I'll pick off just the toppings, or eat a few tiny bites of the crust end.

I will definitely try this!

I am however going to make mine with different things on top I love heat and I am going to add japs and banana peppers yummy. Thank you for posting I apreate it even if the OP does not.

Clearly pizza is a trigger food for you! Stay far, far away.

I have this problem with cookies so I haven't touched them.

Do you think staying away from pepperoni might help? Just a thought.

Yes, that is what my WLS angel called it. My trigger food. I would have thought it was french fries or fried chicken. I used to stop and get french fries from the drive thru when driving from point A to B. I have not had any post surgery.

It is unfortunate. But I just loaded up with a large pizza.

Is thin and crispy dominos pizza ok to eat?  It looks like with the thin crust it would be ok?

Hey guys just a head up. Say no to pizza toppings. I know a few weeks ago I posted that I survived the night out with friends and that we had had pizza and I was able to successfully eat ONLY the pizza toppings. I had a lot of gas, but mostly I was uneffected by eating the pepperoni from 2 slices of pizza.

The problem is since then, I have been eating more. Before the pizza topping adventure I wasn't even hungry. I had to remind myself to eat. Now, all I think about is food. I had a 4 week stall that happened during my first time eating pizza out. Also since that first time I have been consuming pizza toppings at an alarming rate. Just two days after that first time, I was sitting in a gourmet pizza place, eating pepperoni and cheese AND sauce. I was no longer satisfied with JUST the pepperoni, but I had to have it all but the crust.

Since that first time, I have had pizza toppings (pepperoni) a total of 13 times. Tonight I stopped by Pizza Hut, since they are having that fantastic deal of any size, any crust, any style for $10. So I ordered a large pepperoni lovers pizza. I put three slices in the freezer, three in the refrigerator and 2 on my plate. I was only able to eat the pepperoni/cheese/sauce from one slice before I was full. But before I so neatly divided out the slices, I ate the top of the crust from 2 slices.

Clearly I am out of control.

I have no problem with pizza, my trigger food is flour.  If I eat the crust I pay the price with cravings.  So I usually make pizza with zucchini for the crust instead of ... a flour crust.

You have to figure out what your trigger food is and avoid it.  If you eat it you'll crave it.  If you do not eat it you won't crave it nearly to the same degree.

5DPT is what I use to deal with carb cravings.

A thin layer of pizza sauce (just so it won't stick) and thinly sliced zucchini in place of the crust.

Some use finely chopped zucchini or grated and mix with eggs then bake... a crust.  You can do it however you wish including a zucchini mash with eggs, bake, a crust.  (spices of your choice).  I am lazy and prefer to use thin slices and a fork.  If you do it this way you have to let the water drain so you will have a crunchy crust.

Another variation to hold it together better is a combo of zucchini and cheese of your choice, eggs, mix, spread on a cookie sheet and bake.  This is probably the closest to true pizza crust but I am amazingly lazy so I don't do it.  I've tried it this way and it is my preference but I don't like cooking so I do it the "eat it with a fork" way. ;o)
