Hi all, I surely do not want to get sick at the families Thanksgiving party. And That Family dosent know I had the surgery so, there it it there.
I have an absolute desire, obsession with stuffing. But I dont want to eat that nowadays, or just that alone. Any Ideas how to fix the Turkey situation.Cant sub it with fresh Chicken either. I can sure eat cold cuts of it though, weird.

I use the canned chicken(it is very soft) and 98% ff Oscar Meyer Deli Fresh turkey lunchmeat if I need a turkey fix.

My nut told me I can have a little gravy.  So hide in the kitchen and when they are sat down at the  table...put a couple slices of lunchmeat on your plate and hide it with some gravy.  Have a little mashed potatoes and maybe some soft peas...you can pull it off...just tell them your stomach has been a little upset(you won't me lying  LOL)

Lean ground turkey burger patty in a dish with natural, no-sugar-added applesauce...with, maybe, a little mashed pototes, or, better yet, mashed sweet potatoes (no maple sugar on them).

When I firt started eating birds again I ate only dark meat because the white meat was too hard to eat, too dry. I would also mix up a little gravey to give it more moistness.  Try it the week before thanksgiving, you may be a little more healed and able to tollerate it.  I found if something didnt work one day it may another as I healed.
Good luck to you!

Well, I don't eat meat, so I won't be eating turkey at Thanksgiving.  I'm just going to take a little bit of everything else.  You could just skip the turkey if you're afraid it won't go down well.

Surgeon told me to try to eat it with lettuce. Put lettuce and turkey in your mouth and chew, chew. I also use fat free gravy with my turkey or chicken it helps it go down better. I love my turkey so I eat it with fat free gravy helps it go down easier. Hasn't failed me yet. Just remember small baby bites and chew, chew! I only eat turkey breast of chicken breast. I don't like the dark meat!
