herbal hot teas before surgery?

hi everyone!!! so i am scheduled for my RNY on feb 4th 2010 and i was wondering if i can drink hot tea like chammomille now up until surgery, are all of the teas ok, are there any i can't drink or should i not even be drinking any herbal teas period? any help would be appreciated thanks!!

As far as I know, chamomile and stuff like that should be fine.  My surgeon was fine with them, anyway.

my dr also allows tea, my list doesnt state that it has to be decaf.  I am on day 5 of the 14 day pre diet.

I was allowed all teas, provided they were decaffeinated.  Good luck! :)

thanks for your help, i wasn't sure because i know they had asked if we were taking any herbal supplements so it made me wonder about tea, so day 5 of the pre diet, how's it going? what exactly does it entail? all liquid or what exactly do you get to eat?
