Watch your back...they're tagging fat people.

I think I would have welcomed it prior to my DS. I was sick of documenting every bite and sip and step and intensity on the stair master (even joined the gym at the hospital, because the staff there documents it for you - no one has to take your word) for years, and then still had doctors imply I wasn't being honest with them or myself .

With all the variables in humans, it seems obvious that we would also vary in how efficient we are in digestion and metabolism. Heck, we fatties are why humans even survived famines and lean times.

If this is what it takes for the medical community to get a freakin clue, then bring it on.

 How crazily annoying! 

When I was 15 I was locked up in a behavioral health center for a year because no one believed me that I was dieting and exercising to loose weight. They put me on a STRICT diet with small portions and all low fat, sugar free because they claimed I was diabetic (I wasn't, they just assumed that because I was so obese) I couldn't have 2nds and no snack at all, Plus I worked out everyday for hours. 

Over a whole year I lost 26 pounds, and as soon as they changed ONE little thing in my diet I gained 35 pounds back. 

I was discharged because nothing was working and so I brought up the topic of weight loss surgery and they told me No, and that I just needed to start eating better and exercising .

What had I just wasted a whole year of my life on with no success?!?! gah. Even when they try and understand, they never do. 

Ah jeez Jess!!! At 15 I was so screwed up by just the hormones, never mind my own weight issues. I am so sorry you had to go through that torture and lets be honest! It was medically supervised psychological torture. They had brainwashed themselves into believing that they could NOT possible be wrong in their thinking and you MUST be doing something to sabotage it. What f*ckwads!

You have your head screwed on so straight for anyone but especially for someone who is 17. I am so glad you fought for the best surgery for you!!

It was It was a very disgustingly horrible corrupt place. When I was there many other really horrible things happened to me and the other kids. I still have bad flash backs when I go by the building. I guess everyone that worked there when I was there were fired and I thought the owners would be too because they knew what was going on, but nope the owners were given a BIGGER new building.

But they got in trouble for drugging us with drugs made for adults not children. That's all they got slapped on the wrist for out of all the other disgusting horrible things they did. And so now they have strict rules to follow which is good!
