1200mg Calcium Citrate w/Vitamin D...
I am glad that I could help. I know how it feels to have hypothyroid and to go undiagnosed. I had it most of my life and was considered borderline and no one would treat me. I finally found my current Endo and she immediately put me on Synthroid and I lost 30 pounds instantly and felt much better. She doesn't believe in going by the book, she goes by symptoms also and is willing to try treatment to see if it will help. She did that recently for me with a second thyroid medication for me and it is helping me alot. No more hot flashes and is helping me with my metabolism. Now I just need something so I am not so damn tired all the time.
Good luck and let me know how it goes.

Again, thank you! I know my sister has thyroid issues but her pcp tells her all is well, and I just KNOW it's not. She has every symptom, won't consider any type of WLS, and just struggles. I am really glad you finally found a good doctor to listen to you. Makes all the difference in the world to be heard.
Be aware that some of the liquids, and I really am suspect of that liquid that is shown on this thread, use a questionable labeling practice.
See, the calcium citrate molecule is actually quite large. Only 24% or so of that molecule itself is actually calcium. Some companies, however, use the entire molecule as the amount for the dose.
So some companies will say 1200mg of calcium in x dose when in reality it is really only 288mg elemental calcium. Not a whole lot per dose, and fairly misleading.

Not with Blue Bonnet. NOW brand either. The calcium Citrate is Elemental.
If it is pulverized and thrown into liquid, it is able to fit into a tablespoon size.
There is one liquid brand that I have seen at the normal major stores that is deceptive with the calcium numbers like you say, and for the life of me can't remember the name of it.

Flavoring is very mild on these, and maybe a drop needed, so doesn't take up much volume. I have pulverized calcium citrate and added different fluids in it and it is accurate to fit into a tablespoon easily. It isn't a thin mixture, is actually pretty thick in texture. NOW brand is much thicker consistency.
I have found dry D3 in two different forms, and the pill and capsule size is so much different in volume. The mfg process of this makes this differences. Pill is highly compressed, capsule just "filled void" pulverization space so to make the size difference.
Same deal with liquid Loratab vs pill form. It is the additives and mfg process.
I do have some technical know how in the mfg of products. You promote all the time of dissolving the citrate pills with your experiment on your blog and it is tasteless... so do not see your reasoning of skepticism on this.

Hey - a bunch of PROFESSIONALS were bilked by this scam. People who do this day in and day out and work with these supplements for a living and sell them and live and die by their reputations and were dreadfully embarrassed by the fact that they were selling products that decided to change their products midstream (ie Upcal-D) -- and some companies have never been honest.
I'm not as smart as Michelle at Vitalady is. I never will claim to be and if SHE was bilked by some of these companies, then I'm going to claim skepticism until I know unequivicably that something is not one of those companies.
So I guess I wonder -- why does it chafe you so very much that I'm skeptical about this particular company? Especially given the dire consequences of too little calcium or D? If you're right -- SUPER. Cause then hey, this company is doing a great job, hoo-ray for them and all that. But if you are wrong and people are expecting 600mgs of calcium, taking 3 doses for 1800 but are only getting 432mg of calcium from it, then ouch -- that hurts.
So really, why go after MY skepticism? I'm skeptical about quite a bit -- that's WHY I did the experiment in my blog. Don't like it? That's fine, that's your opinion. But I have mine and I'm allowed to voice it.

What about BlueBonnet has chafed you, what proof do you have of their mfg methods over other mfg methods do you know of that prove them wrong? How do you go about that anyhow, unless you are auditing them personally.......there are plenty to chase after....like I did with Tropical Oasis a few months back. That is why their labeling changed.... many people called them on it! They weren't stating any numbers before.
So no one is to question HOW you come about your skepticism either? Because you do a lot of reading and research on this? You think you are the only one that does this? Give me a break.
Yeah, right....I don't give a **** about people getting the right amount/type of calcium and is why I post to people preaching the correct amounts...... duh. For all we know, the minimums aren't even enough in the long run.
I didn't say I didn't like your experiment. I was using that to state that the amount in the one pill you dissolved and the time it took to break down as an example of SIZE of the molecule. That was all....so that is where I 'doubted' your LOGIC. You really don't think that 2 pills can not be dissolved and fit into a tablespoon if minimum liquid is used and flavoring tossed in to a flavorless compound?
Vitalady knows her stuff, but isn't the end all of this, no one is. She is also in this for the money just like the other mfg and distributors. Nothing wrong with that, making money, etc. and you aren't skeptical of her? Just trying to figure out your logic on this here too. Yup, there are many unscrupulous peeps out there in the big bad corporate world..... but many are honest and been around for a long time mfg these products for all, and not out to screw us all.
I will say too, that this is MY opinion and am allowed to voice it also.
