1200mg Calcium Citrate w/Vitamin D...

Um.  You jumped me defending whatever this company is.  Don't turn this around.  If you hadn't decided that you needed to jump me, this wouldn't have turned into anything other than me stating my skepticism -- which hasn't changed, btw, and you jumping up and down stating how you know all about how companies produce things and THIS is a good company but whatsit over there isn't.

I said that I am skeptical of ALL liquids.  You're the one hanging your hat on this particular one.  Period.  I never said I wasn't the only one who did research on this -- and I never will claim that. I think it's great that people DO research what goes in their mouths and their bodies.  But to claim THIS one is fine, but another isn't without any facts to back it up seems a bit flimsy at best.  What exactly makes THIS one fine and that other one crap?  Did you pay to have them tested?  Did someone else?  Is there some proof to this?  That's the sorta thing that makes a difference rather than "I know that this is good and the other isn't."

All I said, before you decided to jump my **** was that I was skeptical about this method of supplementation.  That some of the liquids were known to have done this.  And then you decided to come in guns blazing and tell me how wrong I was without giving me proof why or how.  All I have is that you tell me that I'm wrong.  Well, great.  Thanks for that.  You could also tell me the sky is purple.. should I believe that, too?

I didn't say that you don't do research on this stuff -- I said I was skeptical.  Give me something that defines your arguement rather than go off on me and I'm with you.  Give me something for my LOGIC to see.  Doing anything less simply deflects from the original arguement and makes you look silly.

I didn't jump you. I was just stating my opinion, YOU were the one to take it as an attack and it wasn't. I really don't give a hoot if your skepticism changed either. I was just trying to state to the person that liquids are fine option, that the Blue Bonnet is elemental calcium. YOU were the one that questioned it anyhow. I was just clarifying for other people, and trying to clarify my reasoning behind my opinion. I am keeping on point.

I am hanging my hat on that every mfg out there isn't out to get us. My LOGIC is volumetric...... and trusting labels to an extent. Mfg hate to get sued! LOL This company has never been "caught" defrauding. YOU are the one that "questions" it by your posts (this was not the first thread where you did this) about this brand.

So, to what are your FACTS that the solid pill forms are any better than the liquids and the brand names are ok? You have them tested too? Why did one dissolve faster than the other is the same compound?

I can play ping pong right along. I actually take a different form because the liquids weren't convenient for me to use. Hated lugging liquids around for those midday doses, however I still believe that pill form may not be the best method for us either because it may pass the area of absorption before being available in the gut or too slow to dissolve, but that is another discussion.....

YOU may need to look in the fun house "silly" mirror kiddo. I am done.

I take calcium citrate lozenges from Bariatric Advantage.  You have to order these on-line.  They have 400 mg calcium citrate and I take 3-4 a day.  The cherry flavor is really good!

4 of those is the minimum number required per day. 1500-2000mg per day. So if you are taking only 3 you are shorting yourself those days.

With chewables, you need to really make sure that it is Calcium CITRATE and not calcium carbonate.

I took Tropical Oasis for quite some time. It tastes good so multiple doses were not a problem. I got mine local too. The stopped carrying it. Then my naturopathic dr in sac (www.SacND.com) recommended the blue bonnet. My local store didn't carry it until I asked them to order it, then they started stocking all the flavors. I love that I can just go pick it up.

This is NOT a good choice. This is what Andrea was talking about....and in my post to her, the one I couldn't remember the name of. At least they did change their labeling, since it didn't have it and I actually called them to find out the elemental amounts and then passed it on by
.
If you look at the % numbers it is only 21% elemental citrate! Not good. Only has 115mg calcium citrate in one tablespoon. You would need to take 13 tablespoons a day to hit the minimum number of 1500mg needed!!!! PLEASE get another one.

We probably need more Calcium & Magnesium than any other vitamin or mineral. These nutrients are the primary building blocks of bones, teeth and muscles. Many foods contain these valuable minerals, especially Calcium. Yet Calcium remains high on the list of minerals in which people are deficient. Calcium deficiency results largely from poor absorption. Our Liquid Calcium Magnesium with Vitamin D was developed to help over come the Calcium absorption problem.
