Yeah, definitley, I will send you a friend request.  You can watch my blogs as well.  I try to keep a log of all the stuff happening, hopefully for others in the future or just for my own record to look back on.

You sound like you are doing great, and are in about the same spot as me.  Besides the legs and back, I haven't really had any RNY related problems.  My nut was happy that I was able to eat more than most at this point and told me if you feel up to it, go for it.

But yeah, keep up the great work and I look forward to hearing of your progress!

I am from North Dakota now, moved here in June. Minot got 2 feet of snow, for a week we were in an arctic freeze. It is now in the upper 30's and starting to melt. It is always windy here, but once you get used to it, it is not so bad, at least that is what I keep telling myself.

LOL, yeah, i know he is near Minot too, because I have heard him mention that city in past conversations.  He loves it up there though.  He tried to get back up there for years when I knew him down here, and he finally went for it about 2 years ago and never looked back.  Hopefully you guys can get some of that snow melted!  We got about 4 inches here in Ohio about a week ago, and you would have thought it was Blizzard '10.  :)

I don't recall the timing on it, but a few months post-op, I had some serious lower back pain issues (serious to me, anyway).

I have never had back pain issues before, and it has resolved itself.  I believe that it was "simply" a matter of my weight loss/redistribution when I was in my hig-loss phase... it takes time for our bodies to adapt to the changes.  We hold ourselves differently, our center of balance shifts, etc.

Good luck.

I have experienced a numb tailbone since my surgery in Sept.  My PCP said it was probably from the way they strapped me down during surgery and sent me to physical therapy. l have not gotten my feeling back in my tailbone area yet. However, I do experience a lot of pain around it and in my lower back. Physical therapist said they are muscle spasms due to my tailbone issue and probably my body compensating for the way I move now and weight loss. PCP said it can be temporary (up to 6 months) or permanent nerve damage and that only time will tell. It has been 5 months since surgery and I have yet to get any feeling back.

Oy, I really feel for you.  When you said 6 months, I was thinking how terrible that sounds, but you have been putting up with it for 5 and I really do sympathize with you.  i hope you get better soon, as well as myself.  Good luck and let us know if you have any progress!

I have the numbness in my left thigh...above my knee, for an area as big as a softball. My surgeon said its not that common, but normal. Said it has smething to do with the anesthesia accumulating in some areas & affecting the nerves. However, if I smack the inner part of my knee, the numb area hurts...crazy! Anyway, just thought Id share. Get better soon!!!
