I'm 5'1". Lower body is smalll uper body is wide shoulders/ribs, thicker waist. Before plastis, very much an apple.

My good wt is around 112, which was a surprise to me, I thought 125 would be dandy. I'm around 100 now, which is skinny. Even I can see that. it it what it is, and it'll go back, it always does.

Using the elbow measure, my frame measures large. But I have toothpicks for legs. LOL

P.S.  My year + long absence has NOTHING to do with my WLS, or my type of WLS. See my profile.

I am 5'2" and I weigh 160.  I wear 5/6 pants, and a medium top - probably closer to an 8/10 shirt, because I carry so much weight in my back (hoping that that goes away next!!).

I have set my goal for 126, right in the middle of what's supposed to be a healthy BMI, although I hear everything that's been said about BMI.  I used the BMI chart to set my goal because I'm no pro athlete, and I don't have any special reason to think that the BMI for my height would not be apropos.  I do have really muscular legs, and so I think I would be happy at anything below 132 - which, by the way, was my high school weight.  (The crazy thing is how much vanity sizing has affected clothing.  At 132, in 1978, I wore a size 12.  Today, although I'm 28 pounds heavier, I wear a 5/6!!)

I have a medium/small frame.  I could well end up in the 110-120 range.  Like they say:  "You'll git what you git, so don't throw a fit."

I'm just delighted to be overweight and not obese!

I'm just under 5' tall.  Taller than 4'11", but not quite 5'.  LOL

When I was having my pre-op work done they did some scan thing to my wrist and determined I was large boned.  They also took into consideration that I'm in my 40s and have had 2 kids before they set my goal for between 131 and 167.  I'm definitely shooting for the low end of that.  I remember being around 145 when I got married and that was heavy for me, but I'm not 18 years old anymore.  Personally, I'll be thrilled if I can just see 150 again.  Anything under that will be a bonus.

If I went by the "ideal weight for your height chart" I should weigh 95-115 lb.  That's just unrealistic and ridiculous for me.

I am 5'2 and the NUT has set my goal at about 165....I have large bones.  She said that is realistic for me, and that it will be a weight that I will be able to maintain.  Going lower I may not be able to maintain, and then would feel like I lost the battle again.  I don't want that to happen.  Personally I would be thrilled to be at 165, I have not seen that weight for years.  Probably before my daughter was born 27 years ago!!!  I had my surgery 9/18 and have lost 76 lbs since then.  I am down from a 30/32 top to a size 1x...pants from a 26 to a 18.  I am so happy I did this.  I would not want to go back.  I hardly take any pills, and my health is so much better.  Before Iwas sick all the time.  Knock on wood I have not been sick since the surgery.  Would I do it again, you betcha!!!!

I have really learned alot from everyone's comments.  We should start a "Short HOT Girls" Group!!!  Honestly, I would love to keep up with everyone.  I have no frame of reference for what weight would look good on me.  I guess I'll just have to wait until I get there and then I'll know! I must say that I'm loving the compliments that have begun to trinkle in!
