My Multi-vitamin taste terrible please help
My goodness did I stir up a hornets nest??? I posted this question and yes when I posted it I was 7 days post-op. I started taking my vitamins in February and was swallowing all of my vitamins except B-12.
Have any of you ever eaten something that gives you a gag reflex? That baby aspirin taste does it to me. Yes vitamins are not a treat but where is the problem asking about others for other brands after all I am only 7 days post-op (as was pointed out to me as if I were stupid). This main board can sure be rude and insensitive.
There is enough information in other places without the rudeness. Support Forum? Not always!

Yep - the Centrum Adult Chewables are nasty tasting. Here's my trick. First, chew it on one side of your mouth without letting it get all over your tongue and mouth and swallow as quickly as possible. I know kind of dumb for those who have been at it a while but for me being very easy to gag right now, it has worked.
My other trick. I don't let myself leave wor****il I've taken it -- motivates me everytime to get it over with.

Just to clarify - the snarkiness wasn't directed at you. It was directed at those who continually post they are taking children's vitamins and are doing "fine".
You've got some good suggestions so I hope you find something that works for you. But whatever you do - don't taken a children's vitamin. Don't have any suggestions for ya cause I live in Canada and I don't have to have chewables.

I think you're reading stuff into the posts to you that isn't there. As others have pointed out to you, the sharp responses were directed almost exclusively at the folks who insist on using children's vitamins.
If you can't stand your chewable vitamin right now, it's okay to hold off for a little while. You will not become deficient if you don't get all your vitamins in for a couple of weeks. In the meantim, get some samples from the places Melting Mama mentioned so you'll have some options to try.
Hopefully before too long you will be able to swallow your vitamins and the taste will not be an issue.
