Hello, I am almost 7 months out now and doing very well.
I went to a local GNC store here and was told this product has been recommended as a vitamin for Bariatric patients.
I know there are several ladies on the board who are very knowledgeable about vitamins so could anyone give me their opinion.
Is this product adaquate or not?
It does not have iron in it.
This link will show the facts -

I am concerned about adding unneeded carbs also.
Thanks for any help,
Nancy

My guess is you would not be able to count this as protein, and need to take it twice a day to get 200% of many of the vitamins.  That adds 180 calories and my whole days allowance of carbs.  I would be curious to what the vitamin gurus say, but I would stick with the multivitamins if it were my body and save the calories for protein and carbs for fruits and veggies. That is just my personal preference, since I'm not really claiming to know that much.

You'd need two servings a day to get enough vitamins and minerals. I'm not sure why the above poster says you couldn't count the protein.  It contains whey isolate, which is the kind we absorb best, so I would certainly count it.

I appreciate your sharing. However the product reminds me too much of protein shakes!!

Thanks for the replies,  I thought it sounded like actually an other protein shake to me also.
Think I will be sticking with my regular vitamins certianly don't need to add carbs and calories inorder to get them in.
Thanks for now,
Nancy
