Are you sure it wasn't the Kiev? Isn't Kiev a butter/herb mixture? Could have been the butter didn't agree with you. Or maybe it's just because sprouts are worthy of vomiting. ;P

That is a pretty aggressive meal for someone who is only a few month out. I agree with the other poster that the chicken is probably the culprit, and the brussel sprouts were simply a casualty of war. I'm not quite 11 months out, and would never consider eating a meal as rich as chicken kiev. When I did get sick, in the early months, it did last for hours, and kicked my rear even into the next day. It's a horrible experience, but one you should learn by. Chewing rich foods is no guarantee that it will sit well. You're lucky you didn't dump.

Temporarily holding on losing more because I'm gaining!  Pregnant with my first baby (a boy!) due June 2013, after two rounds of IVF.  SO GRATEFUL!

Brussels sprouts are not the most easily digested of the cruciferous veggies. Was this the first time you recall eating them since you had surgery? Do you ever have troubles with other related veggies, like cabbages, broccoli or cauliflower?

Might it have been the chicken or the sauce rather than the sprouts?

Cruciferous vegetables are related to cabbage, such as the various cabbages, Brussels sprouts, broccoli, cauliflower, kohlrabi etc. They are not always well tolerated even by people with no surgery. Dry chicken bothers a lot of people, too.

Well, Brussel Sprouts are a gassy veggie.

How successful are you at other veggies like broccoli, etc?
