Hey, now that I think about it, you OUGHT to try it. And try a few of these, too, for whatever else is ailing you. I mean...why burden yourself with looking for scientific evidence of safety and success...because if you believe hard enough...it HAS TO work, right?

I am researching and will be picking up an information package from the clinic tomorrow. So much positive and yet negative information out there. Some doctors are in support while other doctors want it banned. So many people have had positive results while others, even those who haven't been on it, find it to be fraud.
All in all, I will let negative remarks in one ear and out the other to let me decide what is best for myself on whether this will be a positive or negative. Bashing and name calling is not warrented as I seen on this site.
Any additional information or those who have gone through it, I would love to hear from you on your experiences.

You have a BMI of 29.2---not even obese, much less morbidly obese. That puts you in a VERY different category than 99% of the people *****gularly post here.
You might find that you 'fit' better on the non-surgery board here---I think you can find it under 'Weight-loss Related' on the forum menu.
Also---it's really bad form to make your very first post one telling the regulars how they should or shouldn't interact with one another. (" Bashing and name calling is not warrented as I seen on this site.")

Thank you.. I was and still am in the boarderline obese catagory. I will also make my way to the other forum as well.
It doesn't bother me that my first post added my dislike for childish behavior. We are all on boats in the water. No one is greater or lesser. It is rude and distasteful. I will tell it on how I see it whether I am a newbie or been here for years. I didn't tell someone how to act. That is their personal choice. I can tell them what they are doing is hurting other's feelings and it isn't warrented. It is their choice to have compassion or not.

Oh, make sure you read "pounds and inches" by Dr Simmons http://www.hcgdietinfo.com/Dr-ATW-Simeons-Pounds-and-Inches. htm It is a bit of a long read but will explain everything.
The website www.hcginfo.com is a wealth of information on the diet. There are thousands of people posting on the board and they answer questions and provide support.

Well, I can't say I have "gone through it" but I am on day 15 of the diet and I am down 12 pounds (I"ve actually stalled the last few days, so a big loss should be coming soon!). My goal was to fit into everything in my closet and I have already achieved that.
I have never lost weight like this in my life. Never. Even after gastric bypass I didn't lose as quickly. And, I really am not hungry -- except in my head.
I think that if you are able to lose through diet and exercise alone that is easier (although slower). This diet is really hard and extremely strict, but may be a good choice if nothing else seems to work.
Good luck!
