Do you think that the HMR 500 caused your gall bladder to go or do you think it's due to being obese? Another cousin just had hers taken out. But I do hear horror stories about massive quick weight loss and that freaks me out. I would L O V E to get recipes that will help me. So please send along or email me if you want to snail mail them and I will email you my addy. If you're in the Burlington/Mass area we could meet up! Cheers, Ann

Ann, I am not a Dr., however when I started the program I was offered the chance to take Actigall to help prevent a gallbladder attack from happening. I chose not to take it, as I had a friend who did well on the program without it. I am not sure if a person was on a different program of HMR's(there is more than one kind), if you still need to take Actigall or not. I found that when I started to eat, some of the things I chose early on was not a good choice and it was enough to make me have a gallbladder attack. I had two attacks and on the last one had to go to the E.R. room as I couldn't get past it on my own. I was VERY painful. From what I have been told about gall bladder attacks and the HMR Program, it can be very common to have one after a drastic and quick weight loss, maybe not so common if you take Actigall though. My doctor that did my surgery said he has gotten a lot of HMR patients that have had to have their gallbladder taken out. I am not for sure, but I think I read something about even bariatric patients may take Actigall if they still have their gallbladder as well. Not for sure though. If you would send me you email addy, I could get some copies and send you some recipes in the mail. I could give you some simple ones, if you want some to get you by until you recieve them in the mail as well. Back to the saggy skin thing. I don't know if there is anything you can really do to prevent saggy skin. I walked EVERY day plus I worked other exercises in when I could too. I was told sometimes youth helps, however I am past my youth. Otherwise it's basically your genetic make up unless someone tells me otherwise. You never did mention your age. I am not from Massachusets(Spelling) although I would love to visit there sometime. I love to travel but rarely get to. I am from Wisconsin. Again, good luck and let me know how things go and if you have any other questions or concerns. Truely, Sherri B
