About 2 years ago I needed a passport on pretty short notice. Find your closest passport processing center and they can turn it around in appx 3 days. It must have a walk-in service center. Another option is expedited service (cost more) but they can have done in 2 - 3 weeks. Either way I hope you don't have to go alone. Good luck!!!

Thanks for the advice, I will look around and see if there might be one closer than Miami. If anything else at least we can make that drive.
