Had it done this past June, it wasnt easy for me.. Had bad pain leaving that day (was suppose to be same day surgery) they gave me percocet, when did NOTHING. I swear it...

Then surgeon suggest Vicodin (1 an hour) by 3am, I was back in the emergency, in a ball...crying.

They gave me a shot of Diladud(which they claimed was stronger than morphine) it literally took the edge off, But I could still sit-up, talk and function. They were amazed and little creeped out.

After that, I was PREFECT fine... little tender for few days, but could drive within a week.

Dnt let the pain thing scare you, ok .... coworker had his done the month before... had NO PAIN at all. Guess its the luck of the draw.

Only thing I would warn, is please be ultra extra careful with ANYTHING greasy or oily afterwards... the results wont be pretty. They warned me, and I listened.... I swear I did. But now... even more than a tablespoon of oil'd salad dressing wont digest well, can comes right thru me.

Again luck of the draw, cuz this mofo here at work... eats french fries like its LETTUCE! Lmao

Tell them to reuse ur WLS scars, if u have any... or theyll just use ur bellybutton. Youll be fine, and GOOD LUCK!!!!

I had mine removed 10 years ago, laparoscopically.  Granted, it was way before my WLS, but it was pretty easy for me (even though I was a complete wimp at that time, as it was pre-childbirth!).  I was dying to go back to work after about 3 days, although my employer wouldn't allow it.
If your doctor will allow you go go back to work Monday, I don't see why not, as long as you aren't doing anything strenuous.

I had no problems what-so-ever. I was literally walking the halls a few hours after surgery and calling my best friend to tell her how great I felt! Easy as pie. You'll be great.

You should be fine, I had mine removed almost 3 years ago and besides being a little sore I was fine. It depends on what kind of work you do though, because they told me no climbing or lifting for atleast a week.
Good Luck!
I'll be keeping you in my prayers!
