I am now 91/2 months post op.  Everything has been going super with the exception of this crazy gas that I have 24/7!!  I mean...my gut rolls and rumbles and gurgles ALL the time.  It is not painful, but just uncomfortable.  I knew to expect this in the beginning, but this is ridiculous.  It doesn't matter what I eat, when I eat or how much I eat...gas, gas, gas.  I am starting to get a little concerned.  I tried GAS-X this afternoon.  Not really feeling a big difference. Still gassy.
Can anyone relate or have some suggestions?

You need a probiotic. Ease into it. Take one every other day, then every day, then twice a day. The easiest to get a hold of is Digestive Advantage Gas formula at Walmart. You can google "digestive advantage coupon" and print two $3 off coupon, make the box $4.50.

I need them too. But when I take them like I should I have zero gas.

Hi,I had the RGB almost 4 yrs ago,I have recently switched to Infant Gas Relief Drops, for some reason, gas x is not working, but I switched to the infant drops and use them each time I eat,and they are FANTASTIC,they are nasty so I put 10 drops in my coffee, make sure you shake them real good first, they are found in the place with baby tylenol,
good luck,,,remember this is called GASTRIC BYPASS for a reason,,lololol

LOL.  Yeah, I guess you're right about that, Netta.  Thanks for the tip.  I've got two great leads to follow up on.  Thanks!

I'm a big believer in prevention as opposed to treatment.

If you're using straws, stop.
If you're chewing gum, stop.
If you're consuming a lot of sugar alcohols (sugar free products), stop.

As far as treatment goes, I'm with the poster(s) *****commended the baby gas drops (simethlicone or whatever it's called).  (Generic is fine - works just as well.)  I used to do a dropper full per day.  It worked better for me than any of the others.
