You know, this might be ALL YOUR FAULT!  I have dreamed about begging my doctor to keep my pyloric valve functional twice now.  Now I am putting my RNY on hold and trying to switch to a DS!  this post may have been the final nail in the coffin.  YOUR FAULT!

(thanks for knocking some sense into me)
Pretty pretty please, don't you ever ever feel like you're less than f*ckin' perfect.

HEHE!   Well, I am glad that you are looking further into this.  After I was all set and approved to have the RNY I started really researching the pouch configuration (you know using my own brain instead of relying on the surgeon to think for me) and the RNY suddenly no longer made sense to me.  A blind stomach?  My lovely innocent pylorus pushed aside for no good reason? A man made hole that could make or break my experience with that surgery?

Oh and why was I convinced that the possible horrid masochistic side effects from RNY was going to be the key POSITIVE/NEGATIVE  reinforcement  that would be the key to success?  It was looking more like a game of chance.

Now RNYers don't get your size 4 panties in a wad.  Great success can and is achieved with the RNY.  But the logic behind the pouch/stoma combo completely escapes me.
