So I am trying to figure out what other stuff to buy before I  go for surgery in 2 weeks and am looking around online and such for wire-free bras...

any recommendations that hold the girls well and didn't irritate your laparascopic incisions?

this is one aspect I am freaked out about. I DO NOT want to have to run through airports and endure a flight all the way back to FL in a sports bra.  I feel like  I will look like one of them redneck chicks with their boobs swinging around that inevitably ends up on teh show COPS, and refuse to be seen in public without the girls properly secured.

not unlike this....

44 ddd here  ... love the cacique bras. ( lanebryant.com ) They have the most support of any I have found. 1 week out from surgery and the 2 with out underwire I have, I am even sleeping in  they are so comfortable.

my surgeon's PA turned me onto to yummy tummy tanks - they are still a main staple.

I am currently a 44H but from my past experience I will not be less than a DDD. I went up to a J when I was nursing but I would love to be a simple 34D. I do buy cacique from Lane Bryant because everything else is soo expensive

I don't know what your band size is but there are a couple incredible brands. If you're less than a 40 inch band, Panache and Fantasie are amazing. If you're larger than a 40 inch band, Goddess is great. All three are very supportive bras and I wore Panache home from the hospital with no issues. They make a sports bra that feels amazing on - no pinching, pulling or uncomfortable feeling.

Good luck!

How come everyone says not to wear underwire after surgery then? really just curious. I know that because of my big boobs (40DDD) added with my tummy, that my underwire somewhat sits against goes against my tummy like around the bottom of my ribcage, so not sure if that would cause issue.

I used the same bras (40DDD) but my secret for that top incision? Water Proof Bandaids! Saved me from underwire scratching/infection/itching/what-have-you

Highly recommend them

Don't blow a lot of money on bras....

Remember my 40DDD? I'm a 32 C-D now... (depends on the bra whether I am a C or D)

Awesome! So you just wore underwire still but used waterproof bandaids and were fine?

I did, I did, and you know what else, I told my friend who had her surgery 5 months after me with even bigger tata's to do the same thing and she was just fine :)
