Next Saturday my housing community is having its semi-annual yard sale. Everyone collectively puts their stuff out at once, and it is usually a VERY big draw.  I was going through the garage to get stuff out to sell.  I am going through a definite pare down phase.  I am tired of just having so much stuff around.  I told my hubby that I would happily sell everything except our beds, kitchen stuff, and ipad, and smile while I was sitting on the floor, lmao.

So anyway, I came across my wedding dress packed away in the garage and decided I would sell it.  It is in perfect condition and is lovely.  I am talking like $10 here probably- I want someone who needs it to enjoy it.  Hubby says that I am a freak of a woman, and that other women would be more sentimental and want it just to have it.  I don't see the point honestly.  I will never need a size 22 wedding gown again, and he is right- I have never been sentimental.  I don't have family pics up on my walls, or mementos tucked into moldering boxes.  So, my questions:

1. Are you sentimental?
2. Would you, or have you, sold or given away your wedding gown?

Well, my mom handmade my wedding dress so absolutely not would I sell it. Yes, even if it was a bought wedding dress I would keep to show my kids. I guess I'm sentimental.

I understand. Out of respect for my hubby I am keeping the veil, which his mother made. Even though she and I detest one other, lol.

It really was an ugly dress. It was an eBay special. The woman who made it was from China - she made my dress plus three bridesmaid dresses.

The first e-mail after I sent her my measurements said, "You very big. Need more money."

O-M-G! I woulda ****! Ha ha.. Mine was $10 because no one at that location apparently needed plus size dresses, so they clearances them all... Was my lucky day at the time, because we were broke!
