Ha ha! If we were talking ex here, it would already be gone! I was engaged to someone else once, and the dress was immediately given away.

I am somewhat sentimental - depends on the "what," but mostly I am of the mind that stuff is stuff, some of its nicer than others, but meh - having it or not having it does not change/enhance/diminish something special in my memory.

I have let folks borrow my wedding gown!  I still have it because I can fit in it again (I bought it after Diet Centering down, but by the time of the wedding man, I was sausaged into that beast) and we have fun "formals" up and down the street from time to time, and its a good "formal"  dress, or would be good for halloween dressup - but if it were a size I would never wear again - absolutely I would sell it - or gift it, whatever.

I am with you on your freakiness in this respect, my friend.  Somebody else might could use and LOVE to have your dress.  That kind of thing is enough for me.

Have I told you that I am so glad you are back.. ~squeezes you~

I think it's awesome you have lent it out. I have almost nothing wouldn't share with someone who needed it.. Except prob my hubby, lmao..

If mine were wearable for anything else, I would keep it, but it is super duper frilly- it has a six foot train! Lol

I don't have any of the dresses I got married in so obviously I have no problem with being sentimental.  I don't even have wedding pictures.  I don't have a current husband, either.
I would put the dress on Ebay.  I would think that larger sized wedding dresses would be popular.

I dont have wedding pics either! Really only because our photographer, who was a friend of ours (since we couldnt afford one), somehow lost all our negatives. If it doesnt sell next week I am going to give it to a local charity thrift store.

I'm with you, I'm not a sentimental sort at all.. that said, I still have mine since I love the fabric. I plan on getting back down into it (hopefully it will be big on me at some point) and will have it altered into a ****tail dress.. and get it dyed.. The extra fabric will be made into throw pillows! If I didn't love the fabric, it would have been Goodwilled by now!

Married 2x ... gave away the first one a week after.  When I got married to Al I made my gown ... 2 of my friends borrowed and got married in my gown that same year ... I kept it for about ten years then gave it away to someone who needed a gown... I am sentimental over certain things like the beautiful hand embroidered handkerchiefs my mom made us or DD and DS first pair of shoes or first tooth pulled ... but things like clothes and other stuff I rather just give away to make room for more LOL... I have re-affirmed my vows twice and made new gowns each time and had a blast ...

Have fun ... sell away ..

If you don't feel any attachment to it, let someone else who needs a size 22 wedding dress have it.

I am sentimental though.  I have gorgeous bedspreads and hand made nightgowns that belonged to my grandmother.  I love that kind of stuff.  I would never get rid of them.

I like stuff......especially quality antiques.

Yep sell it! I kept mine for years hoping my daughter would wear it. She looked at my wedding pics and said yukkkk! So it's been collecting dust for years under the bed. I wore it again once at our 10th annivesary when we renewed our vows but that was it. So yeppa if you don't want it sell it, you could probably get a little more than $10 for it tho.
