What salad dressing do you use?

I buy the spray on salad dressings at Walmart.  They are really good and I believe calorie free or extremely low in calories,

Oil and vinegar for me. I even use it in my tuna. Sometimes I add mustard and a bit of honey, but I stay away from all of those fat free dressings. They are loaded with chemicals.

I used to choke down that low-fat or non-fat crap (pre-op), but now I eat whatever dressing looks good to me. I figure that I eat so little of it that the extra calories are meaningless to worry about. I'm sure the vets will all disagree but I don't look at this as a race to see how quickly I can become one of the beautiful people. This is a permanent lifestyle change and I'm in it for the long haul now..
Enjoy!... Craig

that is good for right now you just has surgery, but when it gets to be 8 months down the road, you will be eating more calories because you will be eating more so to me I have to find a healthy way to eat now, cause when that honey moon period is over, it is over.. and you really have to watch what you put in your mouth just saying..

Hmmm, well I sure hope that I'm not going to be eating that much more than I am now. I can eat a whopping 1/2 - 3/4 cup of salad with 1 Tbs of dressing. How much you estimate I'll get up to? Maybe 3/4 - 1 cup of salad & 2 Tbs of dressing (still pretty insignificant in the carbs & calories dept)? It's a long term lifestyle change, not a prison sentence. Enjoy your new life. Splurge on a few condiments here and there. The smorgasbord days are all behind you now.

It was about 4 months out before I tried salad.  I use regular dressing, but try to watch the amount I use.  Sometimes I use vinegar and olive oil too or make my own.

You may not like what I do but it works for me. I just add water or vinegar to my dressings to cut the calorie numbers, sometimes as much as half water half dressing. So often the dressings are way too spicy for me. If it is a creamy type dressing I cut it with greek yogurt.
