Did you know there is an "adult content filter" in your forum preferences? That way you don't have see those HORRIBLE words and don't have to play forum police.

I won't jump down your throat, I'll just disappear you. Bye now.

Good post.  After meeting Patrick at our support group meetings, he is a very nice person and I agree, I don't believe he meant it as a "dig" either.  No one needs to jump down your throat or be rude either.  We're adults here and vulgar language is not necessary to get your point across IMHO.  Well I hope everyone is having a good weekend so far.

Patrick has been here for quite some time. He posts this kind of thing from time to time and always gets this kind of response. One would think that he would learn from the experience, but obviously he doesn't.

I'd be a little less inclined to believe he's being a judgmental asshole if he were to come back and apologize and clarify, but he never does.

If you don't like "vulgar language," then you can set your adult content filter to splat it out, or you can block the people who use it. Or you could grow a thicker skin.

Yes we are adults. And as adults we get to choose how we talk. If I choose to say damn, ****ty or hell, even **** that's my choice. It is also your choice not to have to read it. I would suggest turning on your adult filter so you aren't offended and you don't feel the need to be the speech police.

That is your choice to use whatever words you want.  I stated my opinion that profanity is not necessary to have a civil discussion, you don't have to agree with it.  As you stated, you have the choice to move past my post as well.  Thank you and have a good day.

Really? You thought that was rude? I'm going to go by the theory that you have only been  a member since March 18th so you haven't had a run in with rude yet. That was me spelling out that we are all different. We all consider different things rude. You considered the language rude and I consider someone telling me how to behave or talk to be rude. I also gave you a way to take care of it without imposing yourself on someone else.

This site is no different than real life. Take what you want from the site and ignore the rest. Don't start telling others (especially ones who have been here a lot longer than you) how to behave.
