OMG!!!!!  Too funny!   Seriously,  I noticed this early out as well.  It's still a bit of an issue but here's what I do.  HYDRATION.  Water water and more water.  Yes, I brush, floss, & rinse but keeping your palet moist with water is the key.   SOME Rinses (used too much), mints, etc. can dry out your mouth and actually compound the problem.

Do you have a tongue scraper?  I both brush and scrape my tongue.  Nothing you can do but stay on top of it.  My protein drink ends up giving me yuck mouth then I just brush . . .  again .

The bad breath is from our bodies going into ketosis.  It gets bad after surgery too.  I use Biotene mouth spray which seems to help a lot.  It helps a ton with dry mouth right after surgery when you aren't allowed to drink anything.  Make sure you stay hydrated and that will help some.  It does go away eventually.

Probably ketosis from the high protein diet. Have your dentist or bariatric surgeon prescribe an oral rinse: 0.12% chlorhexidine-gluconate solution.

I have found that my surgeon's solution has really worked for me and is simple and free.  Drink water with lemon in it.  Lemon is a natural deoderizer and really kills the stank.  I buy those things in the produce department that look like lemons and squeeze it into EVERYTHING I drink (which is usually water anyway).  It's much better than chomping on minty stuff all day, I think.  And you won't always be in a position to brush your teeth or gargle when you are out and about.

Just a suggestion that worked wonders for me! :)
